NEWS: MOREnet Service Interruption
MOREnet will be performing maintenance on the core node that supports all of
the 417 area code on Sunday, January 30, 2000 from 10:00 am until twelve noon.
All Internet access will be unavailable to all users during this time.
January 26, 2000
MOREnet technicians will be on campus Sunday
the 30th to perform several tasks. Unfortunately, these tasks will result
in all of the 417 area code of MOREnet being down for a short period of time.
The node will drop around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday and return to service by around
noon. Please note that this is during the documented MOREnet3 maintenance window.
As a
courtesy, MOREnet does attempt to notify all affected constituents.
Included in the work being done is the following:
 | Move the cabinet to its “final” resting place next to the SWBT
equipment serving it. |
| Replace front and back cards of the primary BPX processor which
caused a 7 hours outage earlier this week. Traffic was rerouted on the
much slower M2 circuits which are still in place. |
| Other, unspecified upgrades will occur. |
