Internet Outage Nov 10, 2005

At about 5:30 PM on Thursday, Nov. 10, Missouri State University experienced an interruption in Internet service that lasted until midnight.  This interruption was caused by the failure of our Internet gateway router owned and operated by MOREnet, our Internet Service Provider.  Between the hours of 8 AM and 9 AM on Saturday, Nov. 12, we replaced the router resulting in an additional 40 minute downtime for the Internet.

We apologize for any inconvenience during this downtime. We make every effort to ensure maximum uptime for our network. Including the recent incident, our Internet availability is 99.9% over the past year. Thank you for your understanding during this unfortunate Internet outage.
